Coré Cotton is a senior corporate attorney, grammy-winning artist, certified life coach, author, CEO, and creator of The Elite Career Accelerator, The Empowered Woman’s Masterclass, and A Woman Evolves. She has leveraged her extensive music and legal careers of over thirty years to train and develop youth, women, and/or corporate professionals to step into their true power. Coré has dedicated her life to empowering, inspiring, and connecting with audiences across generations.

Coré Cotton is an associate general counsel and senior vice president at Wells Fargo & Company. In this role, Coré is responsible for several teams of attorneys and paralegals that support third party contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic investment activities for the Enterprise. She also serves as an executive sponsor of the Legal Department Diversity and Inclusion Council and as Co-lead of United Way of Central Carolina’s Legal Industry Volunteer Team on behalf of Wells Fargo. She has served in various other leadership roles at Wells Fargo and on numerous non-profit Boards of Directors. 


Coré is also an accomplished musician and has received several Grammy awards and other recognition in the music industry. Prior to joining corporate America, Coré toured for several years as a featured vocalist with the acclaimed Sounds of Blackness. Having merged her passion for music and her dream of practicing, she is a big proponent of bringing one’s “whole self” to work, and incorporates this practice in her day-to-day management style. Coré is the CEO of the KoCo Empowerment Collective Company and the creator of The Elite Career Accelerator and The Empowered Woman's Masterclass coaching programs. She is the founder of KoCo Women & Youth Empowerment Foundation, Inc. (“KoCo”), through which she develops and implements various strategic, music-based initiatives that uplift, empower and invest in women youth and corporate professionals. She is the creator, director and principal performer of her autobiographical musical production, A Woman Evolves. In addition, Coré is the co-author with her mother, Dr. M. Jeanne Dolphus Cotton, a motivational memoir titled, A Three Hundred and Sixty-Degree Perspective: A Mother-Daughter Journey of Come Here Meets Been There.

Coré is known for leveraging her passions and strengths through her proprietary programs and extensive professional experiences to empower women, youth and corporate professionals to step into their power and ignite their own transformations. With an international message in her music, Coré has graced global stages such as the Live Celebration in Japan, the Jack The Rapper Convention, Hammersmith-Odeon in London, Sonesta Koppel in Amsterdam, the United Nations 50th Anniversary Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Panafest in Accra & Cape Coast, Ghana, the Cincinnati Jazz Festival in New Orleans, LA, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., the Summit of the Eight in Denver, CO, to name a few.

In addition, Coré has been a featured speaker for organizations like the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the California Minority Counsel Project, Legal Council on Legal Diversity, The College of Lake County (Waukegan), Trinity Universal Center and various fortune 100 organizations, speaking on topics such as leadership, FinTech in the financial services industry, leading through change management, navigating in-house culture to accelerate professional and personal growth, and diversity and inclusion as a way of life.

Coré received her B.A. degree from Howard University and her J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. She is a member of the Minnesota and Illinois State Bars. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, the Legal Council on Legal Diversity, and the Wells Fargo Black African-American and Women’s Team Member Networks. In addition, Coré is a proud and active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
